Our OKI B432 printer is a popular choice for printing various sizes of plates

The OKI B432 requires less maintenance, as it prints with ink instead of a ribbon, unlike some of our other printers.

We recommend changing the temperature settings around March and October each year. This should help ensure the best quality print year-round.

There are 3 key areas for printer maintenance:

Replacing the Toner & Image Drum for the OKI B432

Within the printer are both an image drum and a toner, which may need replacing over time. The toner should be replaced when it runs out, while the image drum may need to be replaced after extended use. The 'wear and tear' may impact image quality, including spots or lines on your print.

To replace the toner - Open the printer lid, then slide the blue handle towards you. Pull the toner out and replace with a new one by inserting into the same slot, then slide the handle back to secure it.

To replace the image drum - Open the printer lid and squeeze the handles on the image drum, which will allow you to slide it out. Replace by sliding the new one into place and reinsert the toner as described above.

Sorting Feed Issues with the OKI B432

Sometimes the reflective or film can become jammed in the printer, however this is easy to remove.

As shown in the video, remove the image drum, lift up the clear panel and remove the jammed media. Then push the panel back down, slide the image drum back into the printer and you're ready to print again.

Changing the temperature settings for your OKI B432 printer

The temperature settings can have an impact on your print quality, particularly if there is a change in temperature, in the environment of the printer. You can change the settings in one of several ways, which are shown in the video.
