After creating your number plate, it now needs fixing to the vehicle. Here are your options for types of fixings:
Adhesive pads are generally the BS AU 145e recommended fastening solution. No drilling is required and there is no obstruction to the front of the plate, just wipe the surface of the vehicle and the back of the number plate and stick on.
The video guide shows how to drill your number plate so you can fix your number plate to your vehicle.
Take the existing number plate from the vehicle and place some tape down the length of the plate. Mark where the current drilled holes are on the tape. Now take your newly printed and laminated number plate and take the marked tap and place down the length of the new number plate. Using the marked areas as a guide, drill two holes using a pillar drill or hand drill. Then take the drilled number plate and use any fixings of your choice to fix the plate to the vehicle.
Number Plate surrounds are a great solution of fixing your plate. Paired with a rail, you can customise with sleek branding on the front, making it a cleaner solution.
