Fixing using adhesive pads

Adhesive pads are generally the BS AU 145e recommended fastening solution. No drilling is required and there is no obstruction to the front of the plate, just wipe the surface of the vehicle and the back of the number plate and stick on.

  • Ensure that the surface you are attaching to is clean and dry
  • Ensure that the back of the plates are clean and dry
  • Attach 5 sticky pads to the back of the plate, 1 at either end vertically, one in the middle vertically and 2 in the middle at an angle.  Download the below PDF for an image
  • Press firmly across the whole plate (with attached pads) and hold for 5 seconds

Our number plate drilling guide

The video guide shows how to drill your number plate so you can fix your number plate to your vehicle.

Take the existing number plate from the vehicle and placesome tape down the length of the plate. Mark where the current drilled holes are. Now take your newly printed and laminated number plate and place the tape down the length of the plate. Using the marked areas, drill two holes using a pillar drill or hand drill. Then take the drilled number plate and use the fixings you want to fix the plate to the vehicle.
