Jersey number plates legislation change coming in January

New number plate rules are coming in January, matching British Standard BS AU 145e. We can help you meet the new number plate rules.

From January, Jersey is introducing new number plate legislation , matching British Standard BS AU 145e. All plates fitted from 1st January 2024 must comply with the new rules (except plates fitted to pre-1976 vehicles).

Other legislation now effective

In addition, the Crown dependency has launched the Electric Vehicle Purchase Inventive (EVPI) for individuals and businesses to speed up Jersey’s transitions to electric vehicles.
