"Although not mandated in the UK, most countries expect trailers over 750kg gross weight driving to or through their country, apart from Ireland, Cyprus, Malta and Spain, to be registered and they may take enforcement action if the trailer is not registered. Who and what
Consumers need to register their (non-commercial) trailers, including caravans and horseboxes to travel abroad. Previously these rules were focused on commercial trailers.
Motor traders can supply trailer plates and gain an extra revenue opportunity and access to new customer types.
